Your organization’s admins choose which MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers are available in Cake Agents. Before an agent can use a server’s tools in your sessions, you connect your own account to it. The agent then acts with your permissions on that service.

Prerequisites

Connect a server

  1. Open User settings → MCP Connectors.
  2. Find the server and select Connect.
  3. Sign in to the service and approve access.
The service redirects you back to MCP Connectors, and Cake shows a notification with the result. The server now shows a Connected badge. If the page shows No servers yet, your organization hasn’t added any MCP servers.

Use connected servers in sessions

In your sessions, the agent can call tools from every server you’ve connected. Each tool name is prefixed with the server name that the admin chose, for example Notion.search. Ask the agent to use the service directly:
The agent only uses your connections, never another user’s. Servers you haven’t connected don’t contribute any tools. If a connection is missing or has expired, the tool call returns a message such as:
Open User settings → MCP Connectors and connect or reconnect the server, then ask the agent to try again.

Disconnect a server

  1. Open User settings → MCP Connectors.
  2. Select Disconnect next to the server.
Agents in your sessions can no longer call that server’s tools until you connect again.
